This is a gorgeous antique 800 sterling silver compact with an enamel courting scene and a lovely guilloche floral design.

It measures approximately 2 3/4 inches by approximately 2 1/8 inches, and is about 1/2 inch in thickness.  The compact opens to an ever so slightly hazy framed glass mirror; that still casts a very crisp reflection.  It has a gold plated interior with the original powder sifter net and a unused handmade silk embroidered powder puff. 

The piece has no dents, dings, rust or corrosion, and is hallmarked with the 800 stamp on the frame of the mirror.  It's a stunning and unique compact to add to any collection.  It could be used with your loose powder, and is a wonderful vanity accessory.
